Exciting moments at Gloria Cup 2019!

Gloria Cup 2019 has concluded with volleyball, basketball tournaments and athletics championship, held with the participation of world-renowned  teams and athletes.

Gloria Cup 2019 Volleyball, the first tournament of the Gloria Cup, took place from August 15-17, with the Women’s National Volleyball teams of Turkey, Serbia, Italy and Croatia.

Following the big challenge in the last game of the three-day tournament, Serbia Women’s National Volleyball Team emerged as the champion by defeating Turkey Women’s National  Volleyball Team with a score of 3-2. Turkey completed the tournament in 2nd place, Croatia in 3^rd, and Italy came in 4^th.  

CSKA Moscow, TEKSÜT Bandırma BK and TOFAŞ Bursa competed in Group A, while Anadolu Efes, Zalgiris Kaunas and Galatasaray Doğa Sigorta competed in Group B in Gloria Cup 2019 Basketball, took place from September 11 to 15. 

CSKA Moscow and Anadolu Efes were first in their respective groups and played against each other in the final game.

With closely contested games, the Gloria Cup Basketball tournament saw CSKA Moscow, defeating Anadolu Efes 65-63, raise the championship trophy. Anadolu Efes completed the tournament in 2^nd place, TEKSÜT Bandırma BK in 3^rd, Galatasaray Doğa Sigorta in 4^th, Zalgiris Kaunas in 5^th and TOFAŞ in 6^th place.

Gloria Cup 2019 Athletics, a one-day race held on September 16, included a total of 10 disciplines: Women’s Javelin Throw, Men’s Triple Jump, Men’s 400m Hurdles, Women’s 400m Hurdles, Women’s High Jump, Men’s Javelin Throw, Women’s 100m Hurdles, Men’s 400m, Women’s 100m and Men’s 200m. 72 athletes from 22 countries participated.
